Adolescence

As I interviewed my dad and watched other interviews from my friends' grandparents as well as their parents, I discovered that there's a huge difference between the adolescence now and back then. First of all, most adults said they were a lot freer back than comparing to now. Their parents just set them free and let them hang out whenever they wanted, but they still considered studying important. But some of the adults, like who lived in 50s, said their parents were very strict. Also, teenagers back then were a lot politer and more obedient than now. They said most adolescents now are disobedient to their parents, and usually only care about themselves. Lastly, adolescents now are closer to friends more than parents, and the reason is that they get to contact each other a lot easier than back then. The technology has developed so we have phones to sms, Internet to do chat or facebook and even MSN. So I think the adolescence back then and now are really different, it changed a lot.

FRIM

I actually really like camping because I like to spend time with my friends. In the FRIM trip I went, I liked how I tented with a person and can be even more close to each other. And there were many group activities so that I can work with other friends as well. But if there's something you like, there of course is something you don't like. It's not like I really didn't like it but the toilet and shower rooms that we(girls) all were using was sort of uncomfortable. The toilet became really dirty on second day, which showed that we, girls, didn't respect each other. We all had to clean that mess up because it was all our responsibilities. The girls started to clean really hard even though they didn't make that mess. I felt like 'they' really know how you have to behave when you go camping. I started to clean and help others. We all had to do it even though we didn't like it, because we were responsible for that. It taught me a good lesson that many people being on a trip together isn't that easy, and you have to be respecting each other, and responsible. I learnt many things, and it was really fun to be with many other friends.

My Relative

I have a unique cousin just like Katie has a unique uncle. Actually they're quite similar. My cousin's a boy who is 4 years older than me, who has big eyes and who is really tall. He's always nice and polite to people EXCEPT when he's competing with them. He thinks he has to win everyone on everything; he just thinks he's the best genius in the world, well, he wants to believe so. If he loses or does worse than anyone who was competing with him, he does not want to accept that and thinks that person cheated. He IS smart and intelligent but I think it's wrong to think that he's the best. People can sometimes make mistakes and lose. It's not like genius always has to win from everyone. This is why I think my cousin is unique and a little weird. But I think being this kind of "unique" cousin is not good for him, because he's supposed to know that there's no "best" in the world. I hope he would realize that soon.

My quote

This quote really inspires me because I agree that everything great is achieved by enthusiasm. If you do something or make something that you're not interested in or not enthusiastic about, it's no worth doing it and the failure would come and you would not succeed. In order to make your work great, you have to be enjoying your work without any complaints. This is also what I think in my mind everyday. I always try to have enthusiasm about everything I do, so that I enjoy it.
